Application for registration under regulation 3
of the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority (Registration of Person Making Contribution from Sale of Sugar on Local Market) Regulations 2012
1. Every importer who imports any sugar, other than sugar for refining,
into Mauritius, a miller or a refiner producing sugar, other than sugar refining, shall make an application, by using the prescribed Application for
Registration Form available at the MCIA and also on its website ‘’mcia.mu’’,
to be registered as a registered entity to sell sugar on the local market.
2. Any registration effected under paragraph 1 shall be valid for a
period of one year.
3. Registration for the calendar year 2023 shall be completed at latest
on 15 December 2022 and shall be valid during the period1 January 2023
to 31 December 2023.
4. Registration for subsequent years shall be completed at latest
on 15 December of the preceding year.
